What is it?
A Tension Headache is a headache that usually starts at the base of the skull, can roll up over the ear and finish in behind the eyes. The headache can present on both sides or only one side.
Muscles affected
The Upper Trapezius causes this type of headache due to too much tension. Sitting for long periods creates bad posture and this bad posture forces the Upper Trapezius to help support the head when it falls forward.
What can you do?
Getting a Remedial Massage to the neck and shoulders will release this tension and the headache.
Stretching and Self-Massage of the Upper Trapezius are great ways to ease a Tension Headache.
